Background

    Carl Ginsberg, MCIArb, presided over the 193rd Judicial District Court in Dallas County, Texas, for 12 years from 2006 to 2018. During his tenure, Ginsberg tried over 200 jury trials and several hundred bench trials. Ginsberg heard thousands of motions in cases spanning virtually every facet of civil litigation, including inter alia, complex commercial litigation, construction, technology, breach of contract, professional malpractice, fraud, partnership dissolution, violations of fiduciary duties, breach of non-compete covenants, theft of trade secrets, employment-related disputes, workplace injuries, and mass torts.

    Before taking the bench, Ginsberg was an avid litigator who tried dozens of jury trials to verdict. Ginsberg is Board Certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Personal Injury Trial Law. Ginsberg earned a Master of Laws (LLM) with Honors from the University of London in International Dispute Resolution, focusing on international commercial arbitration. Ginsberg is also a Member of the prestigious UK-based Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb), the leading certification body for arbitrators in the world.
